How do I search for resumes?

Looking for candidates in a particular location? Need to hire someone with specific skills or the right experience? With Monster’s Resume Search, you can focus your search using our easy-to-use search tools. Choose from a quick keyword and location search, or refine your search by job title, career level, job category and more. Like your results? You can save your search criteria and be notified via email when new qualified resumes are posted.

Managing resumes

When you conduct a search, you’ll see a list of qualified resumes, including top level information like the job seeker’s most recent job title, employer, and desired “target job.” You can choose a brief or detailed view and sort your results by resume title, location and posting date. Simply click a resume title to view the resume in its entirety. Flexible controls let you refine your search, conduct a new search, and save favorite resumes to a folder for later access.

How do I manage saved resumes?

Monster uses a simple folder approach to organizing resumes. When you conduct a search and want to save resumes that look promising, you’ll simply select them and add them to a folder. You can create folders in advance. or create one on the spot. We also supply a default folder for quick access. Simply click add to favorites and the selected resume will be saved for you. Your saved resumes can always be accessed with just a click on your Monster home page.

Rating and sorting candidates

Once you’ve saved favorite resumes, you can use Monster’s resume rating tool to easily rank candidates based on how qualified they are for a given open job. As you review a candidate’s resumes, you’ll select Rate this Resume and choose the appropriate rating level. Rating resumes is one quick way to review and organize candidates for future consideration.

What are resume views?

Each Monster Resume Search product allows for a specific number of resume views. A resume view is counted each time you view a complete resume when you conduct a resume search. Views are only counted during resume searches. Once you save a resume to a folder, you can view it as many times as you like without incurring additional views. You will most likely never exceed your resume views during the duration of your resume search access.

Can I save my resume search criteria?

Yes, one of the advantages of Monster’s Resume Search is that you can reduce your recruiting time by automating your search. Simply select the candidate requirements that are important to you, such as location, required skills, education, experience level and more. Then tell us how often you’d like to be notified about new matching resumes. That’s all it takes. You can also choose not to be notified and simply run the search whenever you choose with just one click.
